God and the Algorithm: Faith, Creativity, and the Digital Age
A documentary series in development
Director/Producer/Editor
Synopsis:
God and the Algorithm is a documentary series in development that seeks to examine the intersection of digital innovation with human religious practice and creative expression.
Through visual exploration and interviews, the episodes will raise pertinent questions such as what is necessity of the artist and craftsman to society, what is the valuable of tangible beauty, whether the use of artificial intelligence in sacred art is a good idea, whether or not it is acceptable for priests to use text-generation in their homilies, and whether or not apps deserve a space in our prayer lives.
In a world where the use of artificial intelligence is becoming commonplace and tasks once performed by man can be increasingly outsourced to computers, where does the human person belong? And how do these new technologies affect man's relationship with God?
