Synopsis:
A can't-do-nothing-right local boy wants to spiff up his car to impress his mainland, grad school girlfriend. Aunty Lisa is willing to help out...on the condition that he drives her to her quilting class and spend the day with her. Whether or not Kahawai will manage to survive the old lady sewing circle or Aunty Lisa's "lesson" remains to be seen...

This film was created in conjunction with the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program and the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa's Academy for Creative Media as an ACM narrative capstone project.

Selected by ACM faculty as the 2019 winner of the Maka Maoli Native Vision Award for Best Indigenous Film.
